aboutMe
Peerada (Peer-ra-da) is a first-generation Asian American, born in Bangkok, Thailand, but raised in East Los Angeles as an only child. Though her unique name doesn't have a specific meaning, her name combines her father's and mother's Thai names, Peerasin and Parada. Her parents made her speak English at home growing up, but eventually she switched to speaking Thai throughout the house. Though she is fluent in Thai, she's unable to read or write it. She also knows a little French and Korean! As an actor, activist, writer, and overall artist, she strives to one day open her theater company/incubator, which will focus on providing a space for BIPOC artists to grow and flourish.
She graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a double major in Theater B.F.A. and Sociology B.A. Though she's trained in the Stanislavski method and contemporary works, she has also studied classical works such as Shakespeare and Chekhov. She enjoys learning about other performative skills, such as dance, mask work, movement, voice, stage combat, accents, musical theater, clowning, commedia dell'arte, fencing, and film acting. Ultimately, these various tools allow Peerada to create work that reflects her passions.

Still living in East LA, she's focusing on balancing all of her creative and business endeavors. She has shot commercials for Fila, DoorDash, and Chipotle, and done a print shoot with Google Beauty. In 2018, she was one of the recipients of the Diversity Scholarship at the Hollywood Fringe Festival for her original one-act "Trafficked 2.0." Also skilled in dubbing and voice-over, she has worked with Netflix on the Korean sitcom, "So Not Worth It." Then, in 2022, she shot her first TV co-star role in the hit CBS show "FBI: Most Wanted" with Dylan McDermott, directed by Cory Bowles. More recently, she has done work with META, YippieTV, and ReelShort.
Lastly, she also focuses on creating and writing original work. Two projects in development are a limited series, a coming-of-age musical, and an anti-romantic dramedy script. When she isn't writing or acting, she's probably organizing, dancing bachata, or hanging out with her family's Sheepadoodle, Obi.
